From the very beginning of her career, Sophie Gyllenhammar Mattsson knew that she wanted to initiate a charity collaboration and so she contacted the World Childhood Foundation. The World Childhood Foundation was founded in 1999 by Her Royal Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. The goal of Childhood is that no child should be exposed to a violent or damaging environment, but instead have the opportunity to grow up with memories of a safe and loving childhood.
In 2007, Sophie designed the Childhood bracelet with 10 precious stones that each represents a paragraph in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. For every jewellery sold, 10% is donated to the World Childhood Foundation. In 2017, at the 10th anniversary of the collaboration, Sophie created an entire Childhood collection, adding two more pieces to the Childhood family. Today the collection contains of the classic Childhood bracelet, the Childhood Necklace and the Childhood Earrings. Each piece with 10 precious stones in both silver and gold plated silver.
For each sold piece of Childhood Jewellery 10% is donated to the World Childhood Foundation.
